Another wonderful Bingley painting that has found its way over to Canada. This one measures approx 254mm x 355mm. Although
it has no given title it is rather lovingly it seems referred to as "Watercolour of Stormy Coastline" Many thanks to PO'H
for sending us the information.

This is the first sepia study I came across - only learning of its existence earlier this year (2009). However, I have
since learnt of the existence of another one... like buses? I really like this but unfortunately have no other information
about it. Thank you to NC

"The Sea and Coast", Perranporth, Cornwall - 1951
This painting was sold to a seven year old girl for 6d. Just goes to show what you can get if you ask politely! Needless
to say, we're very jealous! A beautiful painting which is very much cherished. Many thanks to PR.

"A Summers Day" River Arun, Sussex - H H Bingley RMS - SM. Painted in 1971.
This is one of the lastest paintings we have seen. We have two in our gallery now painted in 1971. Many thanks to TB.

An untitled painting, most likely of the Cornish Coast. It could possibly be Lamorna Cove. Painted in 1965. Many thanks
to TB

"Harbour Lights" Ilfracombe
A fantastic, atmospheric painting. Thank you to TB for sending us an image of this painting.

Another untitled painting but most likely to be of the Lake District. Wonderful colours, still very vibrant with great
detail. Thanks again to TB.

"On the River Dart" 1965
A lovely painting. I really like the posts breaching the surface of the water at the edge of the first third. Great detail
in the background fields. Thank you one last time to TB.

An oil painting of Droskyn Point, Perranporth.

"Perranporth Beach at Low Tide" Cornwall, West of England, 1947
Watercolour by H H Bingley A.R.M.S. This is the first time I have ever seen A.R.M.S. I assume that this is before he
became a member of the Royal Miniaturist Society and was merely an associate. A really lovely painting with great detail and
colour. It measures 160mm x 235mm.
This painting was bought in Los Angeles and brought to my attention by a rather wonderful Kurt Howe. I am forever thankful
to him for plugging the website on his ebay sale for this painting.

"Lakeside"
An excellent example of a miniature. Most probably from one of his visits to Scotland.

"On A Summer's Day So Cool" On the River Dart, Nr Totnes, Devon

"On the Banks of the River Dart" Devonshire. A miniature watercolour by H H Bingley RMS - SM 1968.
As you can see in the secondary picture, this painting has two labels. One was within the frame and states "No 2"
which I assume means its part of a study series. It also shows that this painting was once priced at 12 Guineas...quite pricey
for 1968!!

"Pencil Work and Cotton Wool - Occupation Therapy - Whilst in Hospital Bognor Regis Sussex - 6 Weeks - Feb 1968"
This is the first time I have ever seen something like this. Please enlarge the photograph because the thumbnail does
not do it justice. It is even more interesting to find something that is part of Mr Bingley's "real life".

"The Hunt of the Gulls" Watergate Bay, Newquay, Cornwall A lovely painting which features
on our Where Are You Now page. Thanks to PW for letting us know of its whereabouts.

A very interesting view of Perranporth through the sand dunes. You can clearly identify Chapel Rock on the beach and the Huer
Hut up on the cliff. The painting measures 253mm x 141mm. Many thanks to WC for sending us this picture.

"Atlantic Breakers" (Flat Rocks), Perranporth,
Cornwall - 1942
A lovely painting with atmospheric crashing waves. Many thanks to J&JW.

"Shelley's Cottage " Lynmouth,
Nr Devon - 1937
A lovely painting commisioned by the submitters grandmother or great grandmother. Very clear and
bright it is only the third painting I have come across where a cottage is the main subject. Shelley did indeed stay in this
cottage and you can find out more on this website: http://www.shelleyshotel.freeuk.com/history.html. Thanks to PRC for sending us the photo. The painting itself measures 350mmx225mm.

|
"Sussex Mill"
Another,
rather fine example of a mill. This is quite different from the other mills we have here on the site. It has a lovely soft
glow from the setting sun and chinks of yellow in the foreground which are presumably gorse. I particularly like the touch
of smoke escaping from the cottage chimney. The painting measures 220mmx130mm. Many thanks to PRC.

|
"Lonely by the Shore" Perranporth, Cornwall
One of Bingley's more common scenes, I would imagine these were the paintings to tempt the more discerning tourist.
While this painting is a simple beach scene, it does have more finesse than some of his 'potboilers'. It is small
and measures 200mm x 125mm. Kind regards to DH for sending us this photo.

|
The title of this painting is unknown, though could
possibly be found under the back board. I would imagine that the subject is the Scottish landscape. It is nicely detailed
with lots of sky. The painting measures 350mm x 250mm. Thanks to DH.

|
Again this painting has no title but it could possibly
be found under the back board.
This is one of my favourite paintings to date. The colours are exceptionally bright,
with the bright pink hues of heather in the foreground and the autumnal leaves. There is a lovely reflection on the lake's
surface and possible a small sailing craft. I think the way the lake narrows to a mouth draws the eye beautifully and it suggests
the subject is a Scottish loch. (310mm x 230mm). Many thanks to DH for this photo.

"Perranporth Beach, Cornwall" - 1946
on the back, in someone else's hand: "for Clare. Many happy returns....he he, to Perranporth I mean. Love,
Hook"
One of Bingley's potboilers, a simple scene of Perranporth Beach facing Penhale. Framed by Bingley
himself with his tape, glass and board. Many thanks to SM for sending us this photo. We're very jealous that you found
this one at a car boot! We also hope that it continues to remind your wife of her childhood beach.
