"Incoming Tide at Droskyn Point 1947"
The original owner of these paintings had the pleasure of meeting the artist, probably in 1947. They saw him working
on Perran Sands and were so impressed that they sought out his gallery and bought two of his paintings. The paintings have
been professionally reframed but retain their original labels. Thanks very much to SV for the images and information.

"Slowly, Softly Comes the Tide - Arch and Chapel Rock 1946"

"Atlantic Breakers"
This is an image of a Bingley bought at auction recently entitled
"Atlantic Breakers" at Droskyn Point Perranporth,Cornwall. It has been cleaned, restored and reframed.
The title is written on the back followed by
Oil colour by HH BINGLEY RMS. It is painted in oils on board & measures 305 x 255mm & is signed HH BINGLEY. Thanks
very much to IS for getting in touch and sending these photos.

"A Cottage Garden" also inscribed "Cottage Home 1940"
I have to admit that this is one of my absolute favourites. I have never seen anything else like it. The colours are
incredibly bright with lots of lovely detail. It reminds me very much of my Granny's (cottage) farmhouse in Perranporth. It
has been reframed and has a deep cream mount which really sets off the vivid colours of the flowers. The image itself measures
96mmx173mm.

'"Sunset Glow" on St Michael's Mount - 1941'
There is a note with this painting that states: "for framing this picture the artist suggests 1/2 inch slot(?) natural
inch on 1/2 inch quilt moulding oak for preference"|
The image is double mounted with antique cream mount board in a plain gold frame. The image itself measures 245mmx150mm.

"Lamorna Cove" Cornwall
Up to the present day, Lamorna has been popular with painters, potters, craftsmen and writers. Some of the better known associated
with the hamlet are John le Carré and Derek Tangye. There are still many artists and craftsmen living in the area around Lamorna. Lamorna
Cove is at the end of a lush valley watered by a stream, running down to the sea. A few cottages and an old inn border the
narrow lane. This road to the small harbour cuts through woods, unusual in the far west of Cornwall. This painting measures
547mmx450mm

This has no official title but I'm led to believe that it is of a cave known as "Dead Man's Cave", Perranporth, Cornwall.
J Cole has also painted this picture (see right). This painting has resided in the US but is now back in the UK. The image
measures 160mmx245mm.

"Perranporth"
One of many similar paintings of Droskyn Point, Perranporth, Cornwall. The image measures 130mmx112mm.

This is an interesting one. It was actually sold as having a stain on it but it turned out to just be the sun setting
behind the hazy clouds! Its a rather fine example, particularly of Bingley's early sea style (it has the first signature).
The boats themselves are very detailed with people on board. It portrays boats returning to harbour and measures 180mmx95mm.

This is a wonderful painting of some magnificant ships. It has excellent detail with wonderful movement in the waves,
It has no label by Bingley himself but the framer's label indicates that it once resided in Canada. It measures 360mmx200mm
and has the early signature.

This is a lovely lake scene measuring 510mmx780mm. It has great light on the water. Bingley has used his early signature.

A lovely, lovely painting, very similar to the one we already have of Scarborough. Recently purchased by some lucky souls
in Oswestry, help is needed in discovering the location. Answers on a postcard (and then emailed to the site!) Any help is
much appreciated. The painting measures 585mm x 255mm inside the mount. Thanks
to PW for sending us the photos.

Paired with the painting above, this is another lovely example of Bingley's work, probably from the 30s. The owner believes
it to be of a brig leaving Dover, and that Dover Castle and the white cliffs can be seen in the background. Needless to say,
I'm jealous. The painting measures 590mm x 255mm inside the mount. Thanks again to PW

Autumn "A Woodland Stream. On the Avon. Hampshire" - 1971
This is our latest painting to date. Bingley died in 1972 in Sussex and its quite amazing to think he was capable of
painting with such quality at this late stage of his life.

"Perranporth" Cornwall 1946
It
is set in its original leather edged glass and wood frame. Most likely a souvenir painting for the tourists of Perranporth.
It measures 150mm x 90mm. Thanks to CH for these pictures.

"Incoming Tide, Moulin Huet Bay, Guernsey"
This is the first painting of Guernsey that we have seen. However, if you have ever been to Moulin Huet
Bay, you can see it is unmistakable. We now wonder if there are any other paintings of the Channel Islands out there. This
painting measures 265mmx122mm. Many thanks to MA.

Another example of Bingley's early tendency to
paint boats sailing into port. This could be anywhere in the country as it is early and before he settled in Cornwall. An
interesting point is that the sails are much less red than he normally paints. Many thanks to TL.

The painting has no official title but it depicts
Droskyn Point, Cornwall. It has an unusually late date painted beneath the signature - 1959. Bingley mostly did
this on paintings pre 1920. Unfortunately this painting is suffering quite severe foxing. Many thanks to J&JW

This painting is also untitled but is the opposite
of the painting above, depicting Gull Rock and Penhale Sands. It is also showing some burn around the gulls. Many thankso

A very fine, detailed painting. It is probably
quite early and is quite small measure 175mm x 95mm. Many thanks to JS for sharing this photo.

An early painting which has been for sale a couple
of times this year (2011). I hope it finds a good home! Kind regards to JE for letting us know about this painting.
